Joy Can Be Expressed Without Fireworks”: Popular Producer Chitra Vakil Sharma’s is celebrating Pet-Friendly Diwal
Producer Chitra Vakil Sharma, who has produced projects like Tandoor, Rakthanchal, Bhram, and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Pehla Pyaar Less than 1 percent chance, to name some embraces Diwali with a heartwarming simplicity, focusing on family, friends, and, of course, her beloved Dorgy. She describes herself as “a simple person who celebrates Diwali with loved ones”.
For Chitra, Diwali is about creating lasting memories rather than extravagance: “Diwali is a beautiful time for connection and gratitude—it’s all about celebrating with family, friends, and creating warm memories,” she shares.
Chitra’s Diwali plans reflect her love for traditional, heartfelt moments. Her home is adorned with diyas, casting a warm glow that embodies the spirit of the festival. “I keep it simple and joyful,” she says, adding, “spending the day with loved ones, decorating with diyas, and indulging in festive treats.” Traditional attire is also a must, which she wears with pride.
An advocate for a cracker-free Diwali, Chitra believes in celebrating with kindness toward animals and nature. “My Diwali is always pet-friendly for my Dorgy, and I feel joy can be expressed without fireworks.” Her celebrations emphasize positivity and presence, guided by her life mantra: “Live life in the present.”
As a sweet gesture, she sends chocolates to friends and family, ensuring they feel remembered. “I love sending chocolates as a token of love; it’s a sweet way to remind people how much they mean to me,” she says. When it comes to indulging herself, Chitra enjoys a variety of festive treats: “I pamper myself with a mix of sweets and savory treats. There’s something so comforting in indulging in festive flavors.”
Reflecting on her favorite Diwali memories, Chitra captures the essence of the festival: “Every Diwali brings back cherished memories of celebrating with loved ones, but each year feels new and unique, especially when we live in the present.” Wishing everyone a joyous Diwali, she hopes each celebration inspires a bit more warmth, simplicity, and connection.
