Megha Chakraborty misses home on Makar Sankranti
The colourful festival, Makar Sankranti, is right around the corner with everyone buying their bright kites to fly and decorating their homes.
The hard working and talented actress, Megha Chakraborty, who plays Krishna in StarPlus’ Krishna Chali London, loves the festive season and has fond memories of celebrating it in her hometown Kolkata.
Getting nostalgic about the festival, Megha revealed, “Makar Sankranti is celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm in Kolkata. The streets of Kolkata come to life with kites flying around and delicious home-cooked delicacies and sweets.
It is my most favourite time of the year and I love celebrating the festival with my family in Kolkata. I have very fond memories of my mother making sweets like Puli Pithey, Payesh and Roso Puli and being a foodie, I would enjoy it to the fullest. As actors our work schedules can be extremely hectic and we might not be able to visit home often.
So this year, my mother will be visiting me in Mumbai and preparing my favourite dishes for me. We will not only make it a family affair, but I plan to make the most of the festival by celebrating it with my reel life family on the set as well.”
The actress who manages to inspire young girls with her zest for fulfilling her dreams through Krishna’s character is not letting her festive spirit down and is all ready to go all out to celebrate Makar Sankaranti with her cast and crew.
