Sidharth Malhotra Enters Vvaan, But What Happens To Him Inside The Forbidden Forest?

The most unsettling thing about Sidharth Malhotra entering Vvaan may not be what he finds there. It could be what Vvaan does to him once he is inside.

The teaser introduces the forest almost like a world with a temperament of its own. There is a warning around it, a force that appears to guard it and an atmosphere that changes the moment Sidharth’s character crosses into its territory. This isn’t simply a hero walking into an unfamiliar location and stumbling upon a supernatural mystery. Vvaan seems to operate on its own terms.

That makes Sidharth’s character interesting because he enters the forest from the outside world, where things presumably make sense. But Vvaan offers no such comfort. Its folklore, supernatural presence and unexplained phenomena suggest a place where the rules are different and where the person entering may have to surrender his understanding of what is real.

Could that be the actual danger?

The teaser doesn’t show us enough to know whether everything Sidharth encounters is physically happening around him or whether Vvaan has a way of affecting the people who enter it. The strange energy surrounding the forest, the mysterious imagery and the supernatural force at its centre leave enough room for the possibility that the forest itself becomes an experience, something that has to be endured rather than simply escaped.

That would also give the film’s famous warning a different meaning: “Jo Andhere ke baad Vvaan mein gaya, woh wapas nahi aaya.”

Perhaps those words aren’t only about people disappearing but about people returning as someone different.

Sidharth’s journey could become more than a conventional fantasy adventure. The deeper he ventures into Vvaan, the more he may be forced to confront a world that refuses to behave according to his expectations. What begins as an encounter with a forbidden forest could become a battle to hold on to his own reality.

The teaser also hints that whatever happens to him inside Vvaan doesn’t stay there. Tamannaah Bhatia’s character becomes caught in the supernatural events, suggesting that the consequences of Sidharth’s encounter could follow him back into his life.

So the real suspense may not be whether Sidharth can find his way out of Vvaan. It may be whether Vvaan lets him leave with everything he brought in.

Backed by some of the country’s most distinctive storytellers, The Vvaan brings together TVF’s Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra and Ektaa Kapoor for a commercial film that attempts to take Indian folklore into a new cinematic space. While its world is rooted in folklore and fantasy, the film brings together adventure, mystery and humour to shape itself as a complete family entertainer. The ambition extends beyond the film, with The Legend of Vvaan comic book already introducing audiences to the larger folklore surrounding its universe.

Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, The Vvaan stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, with Manu Anand as DOP and Visual Director, the film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari.

The Vvaan arrives in cinemas on September 25, 2026, promising a big-screen fantasy folklore experience where the visuals, music, mystery and scale come together to create a world audiences will want to step into.
